‘Jessica Jones’ Star Wil Traval Clears Up ‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’ Rumor

Wil Traval, who plays Will Simpson on Netflix series Jessica Jones, decided to clear up some of the confusion that he caused with a cryptic tweet about X-Men: Dark Phoenix a few months ago. On April 22, Traval tweeted that he was “going to be in heaven” followed by the X-Men 7 and Dark Phoenix hashtags.

While no one knew for sure whether Traval was joining the X-Men Cinematic Universe or not, it definitely got fans curious about what Traval’s tweet could mean. But it appears that it was just Traval sharing his excitement for the film as a fellow X-Men fan. The actor confirmed on his Twitter page the other day that while he isn’t actually in X-Men: Dark Phoenix, he is definitely looking forward to it.

“‘I am going to be heaven’ because I am looking forward to the film. Nothing more to it.”

Despite X-Men: Dark Phoenix being set to come out at the end of 2018, a director has yet to be announced for the upcoming installment. There were reports earlier in the year that X-Men scribe Simon Kinberg would possibly be making his directorial debut with the new film, but nothing has been decided yet.

While the second season of Jessica Jones has started filming in New York, it has yet to be confirmed whether or not Traval will be reprising his role in Season 2. The actor did guest-star in another comic book television show this season as he appeared in Arrow Season 5 as the DC character Human Target.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix is set to come out in theaters on November 2, 2018.
