Stephen Amell Says ‘No’ To A Musical Episode Of ‘Arrow’

Those of you who wanted to hear Amell bust out his musical chops on the show are bound to be disappointed, as the Oliver Queen actor has stated at London’s Heroes & Villains Fan Fest that there are no plans for such an episode to be made – or, at the very least, that he wouldn’t be up for it. Amell’s response to the query was a simple rejection:

“You know, I — no… no… no.”

However, Amell’s co-star, Emily Bett Rickards (who plays Felicity Smoak), was more open to the idea:

“Yeah, as long as John Barrowman was there.”

Amell’s full remarks can be seen here:

The CW previously tried a musical episode with The Flash (which doubled as a crossover with Supergirl), featuring the aforementioned Barrowman in a supporting role as Malcolm Merlyn. Rickards suggesting that Barrowman should be on the episode likely serves as a bit of a joke, as the actor just announced that he’d be moving on from the Arrowverse following Arrow‘s fifth season finale. Still, there’s room for the show to keep going, and Amell can always come around to the idea.

Arrow Season 6 will begin this October in its new timeslot on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
