Legion Gets Season II Renewal

This is pretty amazing when one considers how gonzo and non-linear this show is. I have been watching it but it is trying as the unreliable narrator perspective can get disheartening by times. Ah well, some folks love it.  REC

 

FX Officially Renews ‘Legion’ For Season 2; Set To Air In 2018

It was announced today that the new X-Men television series, Legion, will be back for a second season, continuing to tell the story of David Haller (Dan Stevens) and it is stated to air sometime in 2018. With the renewal of Legion, this marks as the sixth comic book show that is coming back for the 2017-2018 TV Season, as The CW has renewed their DC TV shows, Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow  and their new Archie Comics show, Riverdale, while possibly adding a sixth one to the network, with Black Lightning.

“Legion” introduces the story of David Haller: Since he was a teenager, David has struggled with mental illness. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real.”

FX’s Legion, starring Dan Stevens, Rachel Keller, Jean Smart, Aubrey Plaza, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Katie Aselton and Bill Irwin, airs on Wednesday nights at 10 PM.

The series is executive produced by Fargo’s Noah Hawley and John Cameron, along with X-Men film producers Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, X-Men director Bryan Singer, Marvel TV President Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory.
