MARK HAMILL BRINGS BACK JOKER TO READ TRUMP WIRETAPPING TWEET

12 hours ago by  in TV News(CBR)
Mark Hamill has a long and successful career not only as an actor in television and movies, but also as voice talent in countless animated series. The thespian can now add “dramatic tweet reader” to his impressive resume, as he recently recited President Donald Trump’s tweets regarding the wiretapping allegations against former president Barack Obama in his classic Joker voice from “Batman: The Animated Series.”

Hamill channels the Joker’s vocal mannerisms during the recording, even adding extra emphasis on each “tap,” which Trump misspelled in his original tweets. The audio ends with the Joker’s high-pitched laughter.

This isn’t the first time the “Star Wars” alum resurrected the Joker in order to impersonate the President. Hamill also recorded the Joker’s rendition of Trump’s New Years Tweet, as well as the President’s reaction to Meryl Streep’s Golden Globes speech, where she criticized his mockery of a disabled reporter, along with Trump’s comeback at Civil Rights icon John Lewis after Lewis said he doesn’t believe Trump is a “legitimate president,” citing Russian interference in the 2016 election. It seems likely, then, that this won’t be the last time Hamill revives the Joker in Trump’s honor.

While of course best known for his iconic role of Luke Skywalker in “Star Wars,” Hamill has provided the voice of the Joker in animation and video games for nearly 25 years, from “Batman: The Animated Series” to “Batman: Arkham Asylum” to “Justice League Action.”
