Warner Bros. Developing Deadshot Spinoff Movie With Will Smith

After the success of Suicide Squad, it is being reported by The Hollywood Reporter that Warner Bros. will be moving forward with a Deadshot spinoff movie, starring Will Smith. Deadshot was one of the favorite characters amongst fans that emerged from Suicide Squad. Not much else is known about the Deadshot spinoff, no release date has been set but it appears that the DCEU is already set to expand.

In additional Warner Bros. news, Suicide Squad helmer David Ayer will direct Gotham City Sirens, a project that will feature Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn and additional female villains from the world of DC comics. Sirens is on the fast-track but no release date has been announced.

After Suicide Squad debuted in theaters, reviews and audiences seemed to favor both Smith’s Deadshot and Robbie’s Harley Quinn. It makes sense that the studio would want to move forward with more properties featuring these characters.

This story is developing and more details to follow.

David Ayer’s Suicide Squad: Extended Cut, starring Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Jared Leto, Ben Affleck, Cara Delevigne, Common, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Scott Eastwood, Jai Courtney, Karen Fukuhara, Jay Hernandez and Shailyn Pierre-Dixon, is now available for purchase on Digital HD, with the Blu-Ray/DVD set to come out today.
