Stan Lee On Tom Holland: “He Was Born To Play Peter Parker”
Andrew Garfield recently opened up about the failures of The Amazing Spider-Man. And although it hasn’t been that long since the aforementioned film’s sequel, we’re set for another film about the webslinger when Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters next year.
Of course, a lot of things need Marvel’s main man, Stan Lee’s, approval. New Spider-Man actor, Tom Holland, who made his debut as Peter Parker earlier this year in Captain America: Civil War, has that approval and more. Lee had nothing but nice things to say about the young actor while at an event in Tokyo this weekend.
“Tom Holland is the greatest. We are so lucky to have him. I had lunch with him back in the states a few months ago, and he was born to play Peter Parker. He’s perfect, and you’re going to say the same thing when you see him.”
Lee isn’t shy about his adoration of Holland and this isn’t the first time he’s praised the young actor. At a comic con earlier this year, Lee said that Holland was “wonderful”.
“He’s great. I can’t believe it. It’s as if we created a living being to be Spider-Man and it turned out to be Tom. Really!”
Spider-Man: Homecoming is in theaters July 7, 2017.
