Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 Extended by 4 Episodes

“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” Season 2 just got even bigger. According to Deadline, The CW had ordered an additional four episodes, bumping Season 2 up to 17 episodes.

When the show was renewed, The CW originally ordered 13 episodes, down from Season 1’s 16 episodes. The report indicates that the series — which is part of the “Arrow”-verse alongside “Flash” and “Arrow” — earns steady ratings for the network, averaging 2.3 million viewers and a 0.9 Adults 18-49 rating.

“Legends of Tomorrow” borrow several characters from its sister shows, including “Arrow’s” White Canary and “The Flash’s” Firestorm. The ragtag group of heroes battled both Vandal Savage and the Time Masters in Season 1, only to inherit the Time Masters’ sacred duty: protecting the timeline. Now, the group hurtles through time, tracking down anomalies and putting a stop to them. This year, the team will also face off against the Legion of Doom, which unites Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), Reverse Flash (Matt Letscher) and Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller).

Airing Thursdays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW, “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” stars Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Brandon Routh as the Atom, Victor Garber and Franz Drameh as Firestorm, Caity Lotz as White Canary, Maisie Richardson-Seller as Vixen, Dominic Purcell as Heatwave and Nick Zano as Citizen Steel.
