MARVEL, CUMBERBATCH ANNOUNCE HERO ACTS CHILDREN’S CHARITY

Hero Acts is the name of Marvel Studios’ new charity initiative that will aid children around the world through a partnership with the Save the Children organization. Marvel Studios will donate $5 for every fan who uploads a picture of themselves striking a heroic pose to the Hero Acts website.

The charity event runs until the end of the year, or until a maximum $1 million (200,000 photos) has been met, according to ABC News. The charity partnership was announced in a video featuring RELATED: Doctor Strange’s Benedict Wong Clarifies Wong’s Role in the Film

Fans can upload their heroic poses to MarvelStudiosHeroActs.com and share said images using the hashtags #marvelstudios and #heroacts. All money donated by Marvel Studios will go toward providing reading materials for children in Nepal, Haiti and the United States. An estimated 120,000 children will be aided by these donations.

Marvel’s “Doctor Strange” arrives in theaters November 4, 2016.
