Spider-Man’ & ‘Do the Right Thing’ Actor Bill Nunn Has Died

Spider-Man actor Bill Nunn has died at the age of 62. Nunn, known for roles in Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing, passed away in his hometown of Pittsburgh. Outside of being collaborators, Nunn and Lee were also very close friends and it was through Lee’s Instagram that the announcement of Nunn’s death was made.

To comic fans, Bill Nunn was best known for playing Marvel’s Joseph “Robbie” Robertson in all three of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man films. Nunn’s character was known for having a strained and difficult relationship with J. Jonah Jameson from The Daily Bugle.

Nunn had a long and fulfilling career. He was in films such as Spike Lee’s School DazeThe Legend of 1900Sister ActPeople I Know with Al Pacino, and Regarding Henry alongside Harrison Ford.

The cause of death hasn’t yet been released. Nunn grew up in Pennsylvania and began his acting career in the late ’80s. He is survived by his wife Donna Anne Watts.
